Global Healthcare Academy hosts HAI Conclave 2026, India’s first focused national platform dedicated to Healthcare and Artificial Intelligence.

Bengaluru, July 10, 2026: The inaugural edition of the HAI Conclave 2026, a national platform dedicated exclusively to Healthcare and Artificial Intelligence (AI), was inaugurated today. Hosted by Global Healthcare Academy, the conclave brought together clinicians, AI scientists, hospital leaders, policymakers, researchers, startups and technology experts to explore how Artificial Intelligence can improve patient care while preserving safety, ethics and clinical judgement.

Held under the theme “Building Future-Ready Health Ecosystems,” the two-day conclave created a focused platform for healthcare and technology leaders to move beyond the buzz around AI and engage with its real-world role in medicine. With participation from global healthcare and technology companies including Google, Philips, Roche, Siemens Healthineers, IBM, Tech Mahindra, EY-Parthenon, United Imaging, Intuitive, Roche Diagnostics and others, alongside renowned clinicians, researchers, healthcare institutions, innovators and policymakers from across India and overseas, the event reflected the growing urgency and relevance of AI in health.

Experts highlighted India’s unique opportunity to emerge as a global leader in Health AI. With one of the world’s largest healthcare systems, a rapidly expanding digital health ecosystem and internationally respected medical professionals, India is well positioned to develop AI solutions that are technologically advanced, affordable, scalable and relevant to the healthcare needs of millions.

Unlike technology conversations that focus on innovation in isolation, HAI Conclave placed patients and patient outcomes at the centre of every discussion. Experts strongly agreed that while AI has the potential to detect diseases earlier, accelerate drug discovery, personalise treatments, improve diagnostics and strengthen hospital efficiency, it must always complement not replace the expertise, judgement and compassion of doctors.

A recurring theme across discussions was the need for closer collaboration between clinicians and technology developers to ensure AI solutions are clinically relevant, transparent, ethical and aligned with patient needs. The conclave’s five scientific tracks covering drug discovery, preventive medicine, health informatics, diagnostics and treatment highlighted practical applications of AI ranging from early disease detection and precision medicine to clinical decision support and remote healthcare delivery.

Speaking at the conclave, Dr. B. S. Ajaikumar, Executive Chairman, Global Healthcare Academy, said, “Artificial Intelligence has the power to transform healthcare by making it more precise, accessible and efficient, but its true value lies in how meaningfully it strengthens clinical decision-making and patient care. The future of medicine will be shaped by the coming together of medical expertise, technological innovation and ethical responsibility, so that we can deliver better outcomes for every patient.”

Dr. Bhagavan B C, Vice Chancellor, RGUHS, said, “As healthcare enters an AI-driven era, academic institutions must help prepare professionals for a future shaped by medicine, technology and ethics. HAI Conclave is an important step in enabling that transition responsibly.”

Dr. B. L. Sujatha Rathod, Directorate of Medical Education, Government of Karnataka, said, “As Artificial Intelligence becomes increasingly relevant to healthcare delivery, medical education and clinical practice, it is essential for academic and healthcare institutions to prepare professionals who can engage with these technologies responsibly and effectively. Platforms such as HAI Conclave create an important space for dialogue, learning and collaboration across medicine, technology and policy.”

Dr. Manish Mattoo, Chief Executive Officer, HealthCare Global Enterprises Ltd. (HCG), said, “The future of healthcare will depend on how effectively we combine clinical excellence with technology, data and operational innovation. Artificial Intelligence has the potential to strengthen care delivery, improve efficiency and expand access, but its true impact will come from how responsibly and meaningfully it is integrated into patient care.”

Anitha Niranjan, Director, Global Healthcare Academy, said, “HAI Conclave was created to bring healthcare, technology and policy into one shared conversation. If AI is to truly transform health, it must remain clinically relevant, ethically grounded and focused on better patient outcomes.”

Over two days, delegates participated in keynote lectures, scientific presentations, panel discussions, startup showcases and collaborative networking sessions that encouraged dialogue between clinicians and AI innovators. A special evening leadership symposium further enabled high-level conversations expected to translate into future collaborations, partnerships and research initiatives.

HAI Conclave 2026 has laid the foundation for what organisers envision as a long-term national Health AI movement. By creating a platform where healthcare professionals, technology companies, researchers, startups, investors and policymakers can work together, the conclave aims to accelerate the responsible adoption of Artificial Intelligence in healthcare while ensuring that innovation remains firmly centred on improving patient outcomes.

Industry leaders participating in HAI Conclave 2026 also shared their perspectives on the role of AI in building future-ready health systems.

Kalavathi GV, Executive Director and Head of Global Development Center at Siemens Healthineers, said, “We see AI and digital technologies as powerful enablers in turning complex healthcare data into timely, actionable clinical intelligence. At Siemens Healthineers, our focus is on supporting healthcare providers with solutions that help expand access, build more efficient patient care, and advance clinical excellence. Healthcare AI ultimately strengthens precision, confidence, and outcomes for patients.”

Dr Gaurav Kumar, said, “Philips believes in Enabling better care for more people with AI. By using Open standards ensuring system and data works together, plug-and-play AI “APIs enable easy integration”, future ready “deploy anywhere, scale everywhere with confidence” and Security & Privacy for safe data exchange. This makes sustainable, secure and scalable AI ecosystem for Healthcare.”Jitesh Mathur, United Imaging, said, “AI is evolving from standalone applications to becoming an integral part of the imaging. United Imaging’s uAIFI technology embeds intelligence across acquisition, reconstruction and workflow, enabling faster scans, sharper images and greater clinical efficiency, while making advanced diagnostics more accessible at scale.”

Tapa Bhattacharya, Tech4HC, said, “The promise of AI in health lies in solving real clinical and operational challenges with intelligence and speed. To create lasting impact, innovation must be practical, scalable and built for adoption across healthcare systems.”

Rohit Mahajan, Intuitive, said, “AI has the potential to strengthen surgery through better precision, decision support and training. Its real impact will come from enhancing clinical expertise while keeping the surgeon at the centre of care.”

Rohit Kumar, Roche Diagnostics, said, “Diagnostics is one of the most powerful frontiers for AI in healthcare because better insights can change the course of care. The future lies in enabling earlier detection and more informed treatment decisions through intelligent diagnostics.”

As healthcare continues to evolve in the age of Artificial Intelligence, HAI Conclave has positioned India at the forefront of a global movement seeking to make healthcare not only smarter and more efficient, but also more equitable, trustworthy and accessible for every patient.
