  1. SWEET DALIYA

Ingredients

Daliya – 300g

Wheat flour – 100g

Ghee – 1tsp

Grated coconut – 1tsp

Crushed roasted peanut – 1tbps

Jaggery – 1tbsp

Honey – 1tbsp 

Method

  • Dry roast daliya in a pan and keep aside.
  • Heat ghee in a pan and roast wheat flour in it and keep aside.
  • In a separate pan prepare syrup using jaggery and little water to form one string consistency.
  • Mix roasted dailya & wheat flour and add to the prepared syrup and mix well.
  • Add Honey, grated coconut and crushed peanuts and mix well.
  • Serve with warm milk.

 

  1. EASY BISCUIT WITH HONEY

 Ingredients

175g unsalted butter, chopped

1 cup caster sugar

¼ Cup Honey

¼ teaspoon ground Cinnamon

1 Egg. Lightly beaten

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 ¼ cups self-rising flour

 Method

  • Stir butter, sugar, honey and cinnamon in medium saucepan over low heat until butter has melted and mixture is smooth remove from heat and transfer mixture into a large bowl.
  • Cool to room temperature stir in egg, vanilla extract and flour.
  • Roll tablespoons of mixture into balls.
  • Place 4cm apart on two oven trays lights with baking paper and gently flatten with fork.
  • Cook 2 batches at 180°C, for 12 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Allow to cool on trays

 

  1. WALNUTS WITH HONEY-GLAZED CARROTS


Ingredients
1/3 cup walnuts, coarsely chopped
2 Tbsp cooking oil, divided
1/8th + 1/4th tsp salt, divided
1 Tbsp butter
1 kg carrots, halved lengthwise and cut diagonally into 1/4" thick slices
1/2 tsp chili powder
2 Tbsp honey

Method
*Pre Heat oven to 375F. Toss walnuts on rimmed baking sheet with 1 tablespoon of oil and 1/8 teaspoon of salt. Toast in oven about 5 minutes.
*Warm butter and remaining 1 tablespoon oil in large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add carrots, cover, and cook 12 minutes over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
*Stir in chilli powder and remaining 1/4 teaspoon salt. Cover and cook until carrots are tender, about 1 minute.

*Off heat, stir in honey. Season to taste with salt and freshly ground black pepper and serve with walnuts sprinkled on top. 

Work time: 10 minutes 
Total Time: 25 minutes
Servings: 4
