My Family First plans to open 500 digitally smart clinics

Delhi-based health tech startup, My Family First will open 500 Digitally Enabled Smart Health clinics in rural India

Delhi-based health tech startup, My Family First will open 500 Digitally Enabled Smart Health clinics in rural India. Within 2 years, they plan to connect the rural patients to medical specialists from urban cities. They plan to open 15 to 20 DESH clinics and make the total clinics tally 500 by the end of 2023.

My Family First was founded by Dr Harshita Surange, Dr Pankaj Surange and Ajay Sharma. The startup already has 30 digital smart clinics spread across Uttar Pradesh, Madya Pradesh and Jharkhand.

Their DESH clinics have a trained paramedic stationed at each clinic who assists the city-based doctor in examining the patients’ vitals. The doctor will then study the patient and write the prescription.

The model works as anyone with qualifications in pharmacy, lab technology, GNM, ANM, or is a trained health worker can own and run their own DESH clinic with an investment of Rs 2 lakhs. They also have a starter pack for new entrepreneurs.

Assisted teleconsultation is a step towards creating a safe and reliable telemedicine business. It also helps to scale basic healthcare to the remotest part of India. Their DESH clinics allow networking with existing hospitals possible. This supports tertiary-level care.
