On Thursday Maharashtra recorded 778 new Covid-19 cases bring the total number of cases in the state to 6,427 out of which 4,205 are from Mumbai followed by 963 are from Pune.
"Seven out of 12 patients (58%) had high-risk co-morbidity such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma and heart disease," the press statement said.
Out of 96369 laboratory samples, 89561 were negative and 6427 have been tested positive for coronavirus until today. There are 477 active containment zones in the state currently.
