There is a strong connection between this herbal remedy and long life, says a study in China.

A study conducted by Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences reported that there is a strong connect between drinking green tea and leading a long and healthy life.

The study conducted over 7 years, states that drinking green tea at least three times in a  week can help you lead a healthier life and increase your lifespan. The analysis included 1,00,902 participants in China.

The report states that habitual consumption of tea is associated with lower risk of cardiovascular diseases and all-cause death. The favourable health effects are seen in its most robust form in long term habitual tea and green tea drinkers.

For the study, conducted across China, the participants were classified into habitual tea drinkers defined as those who drink tea, thrice or more in a week, and never or non-habitual tea drinkers defined as those who drink tea less than three times a week.
