The district headquarters where curfew has been imposed include Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, Bikaner, Udaipur, Ajmer, Alwar and Bhilwara.

In Rajasthan, night curfew has been imposed at the eight worst affected district headquarters. The decision was taken at a Cabinet meeting on21st Nov. The district headquarters where curfew has been imposed include Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, Bikaner, Udaipur, Ajmer, Alwar and Bhilwara.

It was reported that there shall be night curfew from 8 PM to 6 AM in municipal limits of 8 district headquarters. All Markets, restaurants, shopping malls and other commercial institutions shall be closed by 7 pm.

People taking part in a wedding ceremony, essential services including medicines and those travelling in a bus, train and aeroplane will be allowed during night curfew. The maximum 100 people to be allowed in political, social, religious, cultural programmes including marriage ceremony in the entire state.

Apart from this, the fine imposed on not wearing masks has been increased from Rs 200 to Rs 500.

Meanwhile, Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has announced that only night curfew will remain in force in four major cities of the state from today. In a statement, he said that Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara and Rajkot will have daily night curfew from 9 pm to 6 am from today.

He appealed to the people to strictly follow the compulsory mask and social distancing norms.  The three-member central team held a meeting with Chief Minister Vijay Rupani at Gandhinagar last evening.

The team headed by Dr S.K. Singh of NCDC - New Delhi expressed satisfaction over the steps taken by the state government to check the spread of infection including real-time monitoring of Covid-19 patients. The state has recorded 1,495 new cases during the last 24 hours.

Gujarat has recorded a total 1,97,412 cases till now. Out of these, 1,79,953 patients recovered. 1,167 patients recovered during the last 24 hours. More than 72.35 lakh tests have been carried out in the state till date.

Maximum 341 new cases reported from Ahmedabad, while Surat recorded 266 new cases. At present total, active cases in the state are 13600, out of which 93 patients are on the ventilator. 13 patients died on Sunday taking the total deaths due to Covid19 up to 3859.

Meanwhile, Ahmedabad Hospitals and Nursing Home Association- AHNHA has fixed five criteria to admit the Covid patients in private hospitals. 

These include more than 60 years of age, high temperature since the last 3 days, low oxygen level, breathing problem and problems in any organ other than lungs. This will help to admit the more critical patients in private hospitals.
