How to consume harad in ayurveda?

"Harad" is a valuable gift of mankind to ayurveda. In this article, we are going to reap the benefits of hard and how to consume it for a better lifestyle.

The maximum use of the benefits of myrobalan is in curing all the diseases of the stomach, reducing weight. Triphala powder is also made from Amla, Bahera, and Badi Harad. The ratio of Badi Harad: Bahera: Amla in Triphala is 1:2:4. Next, we will tell you many remedies for Harad.

Harad is a very effective and beneficial herb. In colloquial language, it is called Harre or Harad. In Ayurveda, it is called Haritaki. Harad is called Chebulic Myrobalan in English.

Types of harad

There are 2 types of harad available in the market – 1) small harad 2) big harad

These are two forms of the same fruit. The small myrobalan is actually a raw myrobalan, it does not contain seeds. Big Harad is a ripe myriad, which contains hard seeds. The botanical name of Harad is Terminalia Chebula.

The small harad is black in color and flat in appearance. 

Big Harad is yellow in color and round in appearance. Small Harad is used in most of the remedies of Ayurveda because it affects the intestines with the right intensity.

Use of Harad in Ayurveda

Kapha is balanced by taking myrobalan with salt.

Vata is balanced by taking myrobalan with ghee.

Pitta is balanced by taking myrobalan with sugar.

The taste of harad is astringent. According to Ayurveda, things containing astringent or astringent juice have a unique feature. Such things purify the blood, cleanses the skin, and are anti-phlegm.

Harad Benefits 

Harad increases the immunity of the body and prevents the effects of aging. Harad is used in the treatment of many diseases. It increases the strength and intelligence of the body. Due to the continuous consumption of myrobalan, one feels energized and does not feel lethargic, tired. 18 types of amino acids are found in Harad.

9 Ways of consuming Harad 

The way of consuming Harad is different in every season of the year.

In the summer season, take myrobalan with jaggery. Take myrobalan with rock salt in the rainy season Take Harad with sugar or sugar in autumn (post-rainy season) Take Harad with dry ginger in Hemant Ritu (early cold season) Take Harad with Peepli in Shishir Ritu (cold season) Take myrobalan with honey in spring (end of cold).
