Gujarat still reporting new cases of covid though the recovery rate is improving

In Gujarat, the recovery rate of Covid-19 patients has improved and reached 91.35 percent. According to the state health department, 1535 patients have recovered from Covid19 and discharged from the various hospitals in the state.

Our Ahmedabad correspondent reports that Gujarat has recorded 1514 new cases of Covid-19 during the last 24 hours. With this, the total number of Covid19 cases in the state has reached up to 217333.

Out of these, 198527 patients recovered. More than 8172000 tests have been carried out in the state till date. Maximum 332 new cases reported from Ahmedabad, while Surat recorded 241 new cases. At present total, active cases in the state are 14742, out of which 90 patients are on the ventilator. With the death of 15 patients, the total deaths due to Covid-19 has reached up to 4064.

Meanwhile, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has launched a door to door health screening in the new containment zones
