Green tea vs. Black coffee: Which one is better for weight loss?

When it comes to weight loss, green tea and black coffee are the two preferred beverages. Both the drinks are considered better than traditional tea and coffee. Let’s know which one is more beneficial in losing weight – green tea or black coffee

Generally, people consume green tea and black coffee to lose weight. Both are great drinks and are the best alternative to regular tea and coffee. They contain fewer calories and more healthy nutrients. There are many facts that revealed that both of them can be effective for reducing weight.

But when it comes to overall health, green tea is more beneficial than black coffee. It is full of antioxidants and has many health benefits. It just shouldn't be consumed excessively. Apart from this, there is also a need to eat a healthy diet and do regular exercise to lose weight. You can't lose weight just by drinking green tea or black coffee. To lose weight, you must also make changes in your lifestyle.

Green tea is beneficial for health – It contains caffeine and a type of flavonoid called catechin. Catechins are actually a type of antioxidant. Green tea is considered safe for consumption but should not exceed 2-3 cups daily. It is true that green tea is healthy and safe, but it does contain some amount of caffeine. Excessive consumption of caffeine in a day can induce sleep problems and can be injurious for people suffering from heart problems.

Black coffee helps in weight loss - Coffee is another popular drink that most people like especially when one is trying to lose weight. Like green tea, coffee also has some amazing benefits like it increases alertness and reduces the risk of type 2 diabetes. Black coffee is a healthy alternative to traditional coffee as it is free of cream and sugar. It is usually the special choice of people who want to lose weight. Keep in mind that consuming too much of it can have some negative health effects.

The right way to have green tea and black coffee - Both these drinks contain caffeine and you should not take more than 2 cups in a day. Excessive caffeine intake during the daytime can disturb your sleep cycle and even hurt your heart health. Also, weight loss is a by-product of overall lifestyle changes. Doing just one thing won't help you much. Eat healthy, exercise, and sleep on time for quick weight loss.
