Stress is a modern health condition that everyone talks about. It is common in all age groups beginning from very small school going children to older adults. However, when there are problems, there are solutions too. Find out the solutions here!

Since we hear the word stress so often, we have started making ourselves prone to it by unnecessary tensions and worries. Sometimes, in order to achieve much or stay in competition we overstretch our boundaries. Stress is bound to affect us this way. There are completely free and simple techniques of managing life and you would get stress free! Being stress free implies preventing oneself from physical and mental ailment.

Keep on looking for positivity

Life has its own complexities. Added to this, the COVID times have been adding something or the other negativity in our news bucket. This is bound to affect us. But there are positive things happening around us too. Learn to look at them as well. Start seeing the glass half full instead of half empty, you will be less stressed.

Digitally detoxify yourself and start spending time with family

There is too much clutter in the digital world. Look around and appreciate the real people around you. Start having real conversations with people who matter. Spending more quality time with them means less stress. Remember images on social media can be tweaked but real relationships are still pure. Take those happy doses of real communication often!

Don’t be a couch potato, be active

Take up activities like cycling, yoga meditation, dancing etc. There are countless activities that work as stress busters. Pay attention to mental fitness as well by reading or taking an interest in singing or something that stimulates your mind instead of being passive viewers of programs on different channels.

Take out some time for yourself

Catch up with your sleep if you have been sleep deprived of late. Just self -reflecting under the open sky on the terrace or enjoying life sipping tea, sitting at the window or at the balcony soothes the tired mind. Try it often. Give yourself relaxation times. You deserve it!

If you think going to a mental health professional is required, don’t hesitate

There is nothing wrong in taking a professional counselling session to just relieve yourself from anything personal or professional that eats up your happiness. Online counselling options are available too. You can do so if you think that you are not able to handle your stress on your own.

Fall in the habit of being happy, make stress run away!
