Have to volunteer in hospitals and police check posts if not following COVID-19 prevention guidelines at public places in Gwalior

In Madhya Pradesh, citizens who do not follow the COVID-19 prevention guidelines at public places in Gwalior will have to work as volunteers in hospitals and police check-posts for three days.

Fines would also be imposed on those violating the COVID-19 protocols.

"The order issued by administration said those found without mask or not following the coronavirus guidelines at public places will not only have to pay a fine, but they would also have to work as volunteers for three days in hospitals and fever clinics treating COVID-19 patients and at the police check-posts.

Gwalior Collector Kaushlendra Vikram Singh informed that more stringent action will be taken against those who break the law repeatedly.

In Madhya Pradesh, arrangements are being made for the treatment of patients identified with door to door surveys in the ongoing Kill Corona campaign in the state. As many as 1,776 survey teams in urban areas and 8 thousand 975 in rural areas are engaged in this campaign. Patients with symptoms of Corona along with other seasonal diseases are also being identified under the survey campaign. More than 11,000 samples were taken in the campaign so far. A Health survey of more than two crore people in the state has been conducted under the campaign.

All teams are equipped with non-contact thermometers, pulse oximeters and other necessary protective gear. Suspected patients of malaria, dengue, chikungunya are also being identified in the Kill Corona campaign and their entry is being done in the ‘Sarthak App’.

‘The Kill Corona Campaign’ will continue till July 15. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has issued instructions to make arrangements for proper treatment along with the investigation of potential corona patients being identified during the survey in the Kill Corona campaign.

Meanwhile, in Madhya Pradesh, inter-state bus services will remain suspended until further orders in view of the COVID-19 situation. An order issued by the state home department said that inter-state bus operations will continue to be suspended, while inter-district buses will ply normally.

Madhya Pradesh has recorded 14,297 cases of coronavirus. the COVID-19 case count in Madhya Pradesh climbed to 15,284 with the addition of 354 new cases in the last 24 hours. The death toll in the state has risen to 617. A total of 168 persons were discharged from hospitals yesterday taking the number of the recovered cases to 11 thousand 579.
