Fresh Covid-19 cases in Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot

In Gujarat, 263 fresh cases of COVID-19 were reported in the past 24 hours, taking the infection tally to 2,66,297. Our correspondent reports that 270 patients were discharged yesterday.

With this, the state's recovery rate has gone up to 97.71 per cent.  Meanwhile, vaccination drives are going on in full swing in the state.


So far, over 2,60,000patients have recovered till now in the state. No patient died due to Coronavirus in the last 24 hours.  Major cities such as Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara and Rajkot continue to report the highest number of fresh cases in the state whereas over 15 districts reported single digit cases yesterday.

The state is left with over 1,600 active cases. Meanwhile, as many as 8.08 lakh beneficiaries have been covered under the ongoing vaccination drive in the state so far. More than 3,000 beneficiaries received vaccine doses yesterday at 335 vaccination centres across the state.
