Bihar records 53 more cases of Coronavirus, taking the count in the State to 223, reveals the State health department. The death toll in the State is 2 and 46 patients have been cured or discharged.

Apart from the two infected in Patna, the maximum 31 people are Sadar Bazar and Gumti Nagar, two in Jamalpur (Munger), two in Biharsharif (Nalanda) one in Astwan (Nalanda), 12 in Buxar and one in Bishaunpur of Banka, two from Aurangabad while one each from Madhepura and Saran. Madhepura and Aurangabad report Coronavirus cases for the first time. There are 26 males and 27 females among the infected. The number of corona infections in the state has reached 223 after 53 new infections were found.

Meanwhile, the total number of COVID-19 cases in India has crossed 24,500.
