Latest COVID-19 news from Tripura, Meghalaya, Manipur and Nagaland

In Tripura, 172 fresh cases were registered for Corona virus infections while 371 patients were discharged after recovery in the past 24 hours. Also, with the death of four patients yesterday, the total death toll rose to 320. The latest State COVID-19 Bulletin reported that the total number of infected people rose to 29,031 out of the total 4,24,150 samples tested so far. Officials said that so far 25,742 patients have been recovered from Coronavirus infections while 2,943 patients are presently undergoing treatment. In the state, the recovery rate of COVID-19 has further improved to 88.74 per cent. The fatality rate presently stands at 1.10 per cent.

In Meghalaya, 173 new cases were registered today taking the number of active cases to 2445, while the State also registered three new COVID-19 related deaths from East Khasi Hills district bringing the total fatalities to 73. The State also registered 64 new recoveries taking the number of recovered cases to 5,646. Till date, the State has so far detected a total of 8,164 COVID 19 cases out of which 5646 are recovered, 2445 are active and 73 deceased.

In Manipur, 284 new COVID-19 positive cases were reported in the past 24 hours taking the total count of positive cases so far in the State to 14,378. 166 persons have recovered in the past 24 hours. Manipur has recorded 11,081 recoveries while the number of active cases is 3,193.

Nagaland reported 76 positive cases of COVID-19 yesterday, taking the total tally to 7,492. Health and Family Welfare Minister S. Pangnyu Phom in a tweet informed that 100 patients have recovered from the infection. The state has now 1,448 active cases while 5,955 have recovered. So far, 17 have lost their lives from COVID-19.
