Coronavirus pandemic 'test of our humanity,' German president says

German President in a rare address to the country speaks about unity, patience and states its not a war. And assured that all the nations are in it together to overcome it.

Germany's leader said the coronavirus pandemic was a "trial of our humankind" in an uncommon TV address.

Candid Walter Steinmeier countered the perspectives on different pioneers, expressing that the pandemic was "not a war".

"No, this pandemic isn't a war. Countries don't contradict different countries nor fighters against different warriors. It is a trial of our humankind," Steinmeier stated, remarkably countering a view that French President Emmanuel Macron gave in March.

Steinmeier begged Germans to show solidarity with others and with Europe.

This emergency "draws out the best and the most exceedingly terrible of individuals. Let us show others what is best in us," he asked his kindred residents.

Germany has in excess of 117,000 affirmed instances of coronavirus yet fewer deaths than Italy, Spain, and France with an all-out loss of life of 2,544.

During his location on Saturday, the German president focused on the need to discover an antibody and to support the world's most defenseless nations.
