6 Simple and effective home remedies for body ache

Try out these simple effective home remedies to get relief from normal body pain

Continuous work pressure and sleepless nights add a lot to fatigue and body ache. It's a human tendency, that we push ourselves beyond our comfort level just to do a little bit more each day. However, an inactive lifestyle may also cause body pain. Body pain can be easily treated at home with simple home remedies.

Using warm salt solution -

You can immerse the aching body part in the warm saltwater solution. If you cannot soak the body part, you can take a towel, dip and squeeze it into this solution, and then apply it to the affected area. Repeat the process. 

Massaging with mustard oil -

This can help relieve body pain. Allyl isothiocyanate present in mustard oil helps reduce inflammation in the body. Massage the entire body with warm oil and leave it over for about half an hour. Afterward, you can have a shower.

Ginger tea -

Ginger helps in reducing pain and inflammation in the body. You can have ginger water or ginger tea.

Turmeric and honey milk -

Turmeric has curcumin as its active compound, it possesses anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and healing properties. You can drink a warm glass of milk with turmeric and honey. Or else you can also add a pinch of turmeric to your regular tea.

Warm compress -

Hot compress reduces muscle stiffness and improves blood flow. You can apply a heating pad to the infected area. Don’t apply this if the pain is due to any injury.

Ice packs -

Ice packs work best for pain and swelling. It slows down the nerve impulses in that area thus relieving pain. You can wrap 4-5 small ice cubes in a towel and apply them to the affected area.
